Three generations of the Leane family have been at your service in The Abbey Inn since 1968. Danny and Tess started the business 40 years ago and it is now run by Sandy, Manus, Kerry and Danny jnr, who all with a wealth of experience can help plan any occasion you may need. Forward thinking is precisely what was needed to go ahead with what you see today, a thriving bar with a reputation for sports, music and food. In all, four bars can be found within the walls of The Abbey Inn over two floors, the front bar with its open fire and comfortable atmosphere to wind down after a busy day followed by a contemporary bar with its own entrance from Abbey carpark. In the evenings the carpark provides easy access to the town centre. Upstairs boasts two bars the first being a home to music with stage and up to the minute DJ equipment, followed by a party room which caters for private functions. We have a late bar seven nights a week with live bands and DJs laying on the entertainment throughout the week and into the weekend. Coffee is good and is available all day and in all it's forms. No need to be hungry either as our kitchens are open all day from 12 noon until 9pm catering for a magnitude of tastes and appetites. All sports events are covered throughout the year and are shown on multiple big screen TVs throughout the bar. We cater for all occasions be in little or large, from christenings to wedding parties.
