The Anvil Inn was opened by Padraig & Margaret Coffey in September 1985.Since then it has been the meeting point for many in Portarlington. It is a family run business employing between 15-20 people. It’s a great place to meet with friends on a night out, to have a bite to eat at anytime of the day or simply a spot where you can read the newspaper whilst enjoying a pint of the black stuff.
Food is served daily ( Mon –Sat) with an array of dishes offered. From lovely fresh sandwiches to a hearty roast dinner you are guaranteed a dish to suit your needs.
For all the sports fanatics, there are 11 flat screen televisions throughout the pub offering all sporting events from rugby to football to horse racing and many more - please call to see what events we are showing.
We have a large beer garden out back with an all-weather seated smoking area.
The Anvil Inn has live music throughout the year with many local musicians showcasing their talents.
We also cater for private parties with a designated area and private bar provided.
