About The Cobblestone:

Welcome to the Cobblestone Pub and Venue – home of the finest traditional and folk music in Dublin. Well known for one of the best pints of Guinness that can be found and the most laid-back and charming bar staff that you will come across. The environment is rustic and homely with artefacts on the wall telling many a yarn. We are sure that you will find no shortage of personalities around the Cobblestone to fill you in on one or two of them. Whether they are true or not is another story.

The Cobblestone has a long and rich connection with Irish music, a tradition which is kept alive by some of Ireland’s best musicians playing seven nights a week in the main bar. Our intimate Backroom Venue has become synonymous with Country, Folk and Bluegrass music and has played host to American acts such as the legendary Baby Gramps, Michael Hurley and The Foghorn Stringband, as well as top Irish acts Christy Moore, Bray Vista, Niall Toner Band and Gavin Glass to name but a few.

From comedian Billy Connolly to playwright Sam Shepard we have had many a well-known face drop by to enjoy this living legend of an Irish pub. While the Cobblestone may seem to lack modernity it is more than made up for by it’s charms. Standing at its always busy bar you get a sense of being part of folk history. A history that is alive and breathing, stubbornly refusing to change in the face of 21st Century redevelopment and instead relishing its every creak and cranny.
