Dunphy's lounge bar on Dun Laoghaire's main street has been a public house since the days of the famine, and has been run by the same family since the establishment of the Free State in 1922.
Traditionally styled in the Victorian fashion, it remains on of Dun Laoghaire's cornerstone drinking establishments famed for the quality of their pints of Guinness enjoyed in quiet and relaxing surroundings.
There's a telly in the back for those who need to know what's going on in the world outside, but most prefer the daily soup and sandwiches enjoyed by regulars and visitors alike.
Open from 10:30am every morning until 11:30pm each night (Sunday 12:30pm-11:00pm). Friday and Saturday night we stay open until 12:30am. Lunch is served between 12 noon and 2pm Monday to Saturday.
