The Star Pub is located on Main Street Swords with side entrance to the lounge on the Chapel Lane. The Star is one of the oldest pubs in Swords and is owned by the Taylor family. The pub is famous for it's food and more importantly the price of the grub, it's one of the largest pubs in Swords. The Star Pub is located on Main Street Swords with side entrance to the lounge on the Chapel Lane. The Star is one of the oldest pubs in Swords and is owned by the Taylor family. The pub is famous for it's food and more importantly the price of the grub, it's one of the largest pubs in Swords. The bar is to the front of the premises, the pool lounge is upstairs at the front and is frequented mostly by young people. There are 6 pool tables in the pool lounge with further tables of a larger size to the rear of the lounge. The downstairs lounge is where the food is served all day and into the evening. There used to be a Russian Club at the back of the pub but has since closed down and is back to what it was beforehand playing music to cater for the young people at weekends. Celtic Fusion also play a regular gig in the bar on Tuesday nights starting around 9-30, Celtic Fusion play a mixture of folk and pop songs. There's now a dart board upstairs in the pool lounge.Traditional music session on Sundays, starts around 7pm until 9pm, the group are Room For One More.
