About Rabbitts Pub:
Rabbitts pub is located on Forster street just a minutes walk from Eyre Sq. This pub was run by the well known Rabbitt family from the 1870’s until 2007 and is one of Galway’s oldest pubs. The premises was bought with money from the San Francisco Gold rush. Cormac O'Coineen(Rabbitt in Irish) returned from the US where he had earned his fortune in Gold. After opening a mill in Quay Street which burnt down he opened a bar and grocery store in the current premises on Foster Street.
