Many pubs claim the traditional tag but this is the real thing with red and black quarry tiles on the floor, wooden boards on the ceiling, pitch pine wainscoting along the walls and an open fire. It even has its own little snug for those that may want that extra bit of privacy. Old Guinness advertising posters spanning many years adorn the walls. It is a popular haunt with local Killarney people where the horses, jockeys and trainers in the racing programme are discussed and analysed daily before the trip to the bookies down the street to back the winners. Politics, gaelic football, hurling, soccer, golf and many other sports all feature in conversation over some of the best pints of Guinness in town.
