Established in 1869, Kavanaghs is the longest family run pub in Portlaoise. For over 140 years Kavanaghs has been serving the people of Laois with the highest standards while continually evolving the pub to meet the ever changing needs of our customers.
Our most recent refurbishment has seen both bars redisgned and extended. Upstairs was transformed to create what we believe to be "One of the Best Venues in Ireland, ideal for the top performer or the perfect party Venue".
What we have achieved is a warm traditional pub on the ground floor caterign for the needs of our locals and sports enthusiasts alike. Our first floor venue serves the all-purpose needs of a Comedy Club, Live Music Venue, Meeting Room and is available for private hire to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, christening, retirements or whatever you need.
