Two hundred years old and family owned for the last ten, The Barge is an award winning traditional pub and restaurant, with roaring fires and flagstone floors. Great beer garden with Bouncy Castle and Barbeque and a marquee available for private functions. Situated in Scenic Leitrim Village, only a stones throw to the moorings on the River Shannon and within easy access of Dublin.
Rose and John Pierce provide a warm welcome and take pride in serving high quality pub food. Traditional favourites, steaks, roasts and the famous Barge Burger are all considered local specialities. On Sundays traditional beef and yorkshire puddings and fresh fish are always available, complemented by delicious desserts. A daily specials boards adds additional choice with further tasty dishes.
Diners, depending on their mood, can eat in the bar, the conservatory or the private dining room. There is also additional space in the large garden and marquee which in summer months is regularly used for bbq's. All areas are available for private parties, functions and after wedding parties. We are easily accessible from by car from both Dublin and Knock airports and are only a short drive from Kilronan castle.
