The Unicorn Pub and Restaurant has been established for the last 45 years in the Dooradoyle area of Limerick and has become a landmark on the old Cork-Limerick road. Now under the management of the next generation in the Greene family, Bryan A. Greene, the aims of the Greene family remain the same, simply “to provide a personalised, warm, efficient service thus ensuring growth and success.”
In October 2005 The Unicorn Bar revealed its Late Bar license making it the first official Late Bar in the Limerick suburbs. The bar now serves every Friday and Saturday night til 2am and live bands perform every weekend followed by a top resident dj. Manager Bryan A. Greene is delighted with the new direction the bar is taking and said “as a family business that has grown thanks to our loyal customers, we are thrilled to be able to now offer the complete package to all, from the daytime bar and restaurant services, to the bar by night, and now an official Late Bar with dj and dancing til the small hours – it’s city nightlife in your neighbourhood without the hassle!”. The Unicorn attempts to cater for the needs of all their loyal and future customers. All events are catered for whether it is a romantic dinner for two upstairs in the intimate Fables restaurant or birthday party celebrations downstairs in privately reserved seating.
