Gielty's Bar & Restaurant is the last pub on the road of pubs in Achill Island.
Situated at the edge of Dooagh village on the road to Keem beach Gielty's is the most westerly pub in Europe.
As a third generation family run business we know a thing or two about hospitality and pride ourselves on our professional service and friendly welcome. There are no strangers in Gielty's only friends who have never met before.
Gielty's is home to music. We are renowned for our traditional music sessions which break out most evenings of the week. Gielty's also includes a large Function Room, which can cater for up to 180 people.
Refurbished in 2005 to a high standard, our bar area is comfortable and spacious and has the largest public TV screen in Achill, a surround sound 65" plasma which is perfect for viewing sporting events.
Our new coffee shop next door to the pub seats 40 with window seats overlooking the panoramic view of Clew Bay and Islands Clare, Inishturk and Inisboffin.
We serve hot and cold food all day in both the bar and coffee shop. Our menu includes locally sourced fresh sea food.
If you don't want to drink & drive, then contact us and we will send our shuttle bus to collect you & your friends from anywhere in Achill and at the end of the perfect evening , return you home safely.
