Our doors first opened to the public in the 1950’s, trading as a general store and
post office. Towards the end of the decade the title ‘public house’ was also added to
the list. Over time the other businesess were phased out, and today we serve the
public as The Lough Boora Inn.
In 2006 the Inn re-opened its doors with new proprietors, Eddie & Marie. Since taking
over the business they have fully refurbished the property, and in the summer of
2012 they launched the Inn’s adjoining business, The Hidden Gem Tearooms.
At the Lough Boora Inn we take pride is presenting a genuine Irish country
pub to our customers. Whether it’s a night out with friends, or just a pint and
a chat you’re after, you’ll enjoy the friendly and cosy atmosphere on offer.
