About Katty Barry's:

Katty Barry’s is a cosy, family run bar in the centre of the Viking Triangle, located just across the road from Reginald’s Tower and around the corner from ther world famous House of Waterford Crystal. Previously known as Queen’s back as far as the 1890’s, Katty Barry’s was taken over 6 years ago by the Phelan family, father and son, Larry and Daniel, even Mammy does her fair share of work !

Katty Barrys is named after an unsung hero of old Cork. She was famous for operating a famous sibín, a bar or club where excisable alcoholic beverages were sold. She died in 1982 but her name still lives on to this day.

Katty Barrys, which was recently renovated, is one of the only pubs in Waterford that has an open fire blazing most nights. Katty Barry’s offers live music every Wednesday night and has an Irish trad session on the first Monday of each month. All types of sports and matches are shown on their large TV screen including soccer, rugby and of course all GAA matches !

Katty Barrys offers a cosy, Irish bar in the centre of the Viking Triangle. For a drink before a show in the Theatre Royal, to meet some interesting Irish characters or just to sit down and enjoy a drink, Katty Barrys is the perfect choice.
