The Egan Family purchased the property in 1924. For three generations they served the public and established their reputation for warmth and hospitality. In 1995 the Martin Family took over the business. As a tribute to the high regard for the Egan reputation, the new owners retained the name of P Egan.
At Egans you can pull up a stool to the turf ranged fire, chat with the regular patrons, listen to traditional Irish music from local entertainers and even the occasional celebrity has been known to lend a hand. Of course, everyone is encouraged to join in and add to the fun.
